Keep in mind when design the space, that it has to be safety and stylish at the same time
1) No sharp edges on the tables and furniture. Prefer round tables and furniture for babies to prevent accidents.
2) Avoid putting decors above the crib. Your baby will eventually try to grab it. It ever, there's an earthquake or another occurrence that will make the wall move.
3) Pillows, quilts, comforters, sheepskins, stuffed animals, and other soft products should not be placed in a crib. Babies have suffocated on such items in the crib.
4) You don't want your baby's room to be too hot, because of the risk of SIDS. It's recommended that the best temperature for babies is between 68 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit or 20 to 22 degrees Celsius
5) Never Place the crib directly under the AC in the room, where the cool air is directly blowing on him or her, because this can cause the baby to become chilled, especially while sleeping. It's a much better alternative to position the crib or bassinet away from any AC vent and even across the room, if possible.
6) Avoid nigh lights. Babies do not need night lights; because they are not scared of the dark, any light will be stimulating and can prevent them from falling asleep or staying asleep.
7) Don't place the crib is next to a long drapery cord. Strangulation injury can occur when a crib is situated too close to any type of window dressing pull cord.
8) Avoid placing the white noise right next to the baby. Based on the findings of the AAP, pediatricians recommend that any white noise machines should be placed at least 7 feet away (200 cm) from your baby's crib. The regular exposure to these sound pressure levels may be damaging to infant hearing and auditory development.
9) Do not use polyester rugs, because in some cases- specially when smells like new -they can emit dangerous gases called volatile organic compounds, which is not safe for babies. It's wiser to keep products made from polyester away from the babies.
10) Thinking just about decoration and not to be practical. it is very common to see a nursery without enough space to put the supplies you will need when changing your baby, always think of practicality first, as a baby needs to be change at least 8 times per day!
