With years of hands-on experience across a wide range of birth settings—including hospital births, obstetric triage, antepartum care, and cesarean support—as well as birth center and home births, I bring a well-rounded, compassionate approach to every family's unique journey.—honoring each family's unique path.
My approach combines intuition with evidence-based practice, supported by my academic background in scientific research and teaching. Whether you're preparing for your first baby or expanding your family, I'm here to guide you with warmth, knowledge, and respect.

ABOUT ME
I’m Maria Jose a Labor and Delivery Nurse and Licensed Midwife dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care through every stage of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Originally from Chile, I began my career in neonatology, then expanded into postpartum, labor and delivery, and newborn care in both public and private hospitals—experiences that grounded me in both clinical skill and heartfelt care.
In 2018, I moved to the U.S. to continue my midwifery journey, pursuing my Licensed Midwife credential in Florida. I had the honor of working in a birth center and attending home births in a holistic, family-centered setting—a deeply fulfilling experience that reaffirmed my calling to support families in meaningful, personalized ways.
I continue my journey as a Labor & Delivery nurse in some of the largest and most dynamic hospitals in Miami, where I gained deep clinical expertise and witnessed the incredible strength of birthing families. Today, I bring that experience to my work at a birth center—creating a space where evidence-based care and heartfelt support come together. It’s a privilege to walk beside families in these transformative moments, honoring birth as both a profound medical and deeply human experience.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery and Newborn Care, an Associate Degree in Nursing, and postgraduate degrees in Clinical Research and Academic Teaching.
I am CPR, NRP, and BLS certified, and provide services in both English and Spanish.

En esta clase aprenderás a estimular el calostro, cómo iniciar y estimular la lactancia, posiciones para amamantar, como verificar un buen acople y el uso del sacaleches.
También te enseñaré cómo cuidar a tu bebé en su primer mes: ponerle el swaddle, darle mamadera, sacarle los gases, mudarlo y cómo actuar ante emergencias y situaciones mas comunes.
In this class, you’ll learn how to stimulate colostrum, how to initiate and support breastfeeding, different breastfeeding positions, how to check for a good latch, and how to use a breast pump.
I’ll also teach you how to care for your baby during the first month: how to swaddle, bottle-feed, burp, change diapers, and how to respond to emergencies and common situations.
